Cold Night, Cool Art

Our friends John and Emily had never been to see the construction of the new art museum that is being constructed here. It was a very cool night but we bundled up the kids and set off on the short walk to look at the project which is underway.

While we were on th walk we stopped at the newest building which has holding a lights show right as the sun was setting. It is super cool- it is a small round building with an open oculus that seats about 30 people.

Here is my view looking up at the ceiling and oculus:

The artist created a lights show that as the colors of the lights change on the ceiling, the color of the sky appears to change. The sky is the circle in the middle- the point and shoot camera didn't quite capture all of the crazy sky colors. It was yellow, pink, and green. Here is a collage of some of the photos I took:

It was so beautiful and we were able to forget about the cold for a while and enjoy a little art. It was a fun night with friends and a great family outing.
