Another KC weekend

How much do I love my cousin, Amber? Let me count the ways! Growing up it was always her and I together: pretending, discovering, fighting, you name it. She is the closest thing I have to a sister and she is about to be a mommy for the first time! We declared we had better fit in a girls weekend before her baby boy makes his debut in March.

She and I met in Kansas City on Saturday. We did a quick maternity shoot at the hotel. Here are just two of the great photos we got:




After that we hit the Plaza hard... although we did not end up purchasing a whole lot. My brother Steven met up with us later that evening for dinner and dessert at our favorite places: P.F. Changs for dinner and The Cheesecake Factory for dessert!



The next morning my (crazy) brother was running in a 5K and asked if we would come see him cross the finish line. So we proved that craziness does run in families and work up early on a Sunday and drove to the race, where we had to park a mile away and walk in the 29 degree weather. Even crazier- the run was held in a "subtropolis" where it was 60 degrees, crowded, and MUGGY.

It was such a fun weekend! We decided it MUST be a yearly event! Love you, Ambs!
