Exterior Progress

The last few days the house has seen some changes to the exterior. Here was last week:

Notice we have also been re-grated and the gravel piles are gone. We're getting somewhere! This is the Hardie Board which is a no-maintenance material. It photographs a little green but it's actually a very pretty gray.

The upper half of the exterior will be cedar panels. We so loved the little bit of cedar we put on our house in Springfield that we wanted to be sure to have more in this one. Here is our old house if you never saw it.

 

Dave and I spent several hours this weekend sweeping and vacuuming the new house. It was very tedious but it looks so much nicer. In order to save my back from bending over and cleaning edges and corners I borrowed a toy from Will. Who says having a 3 year old is inconvenient?
