Our Christmas

Christmas this year with two kiddos was definitely special. Yes, we had two last year, but this year Elle could get in on the action! Christmas Eve we went to Paul and Glenda's for just a few more presents...
After we left there we went to church services:
Dave and I want to always do Shogun's on Christmas Eve! This year we opted for the restaurant dining instead of the hibatchi grill...
That evening we set out milk and cookies, of course and then tried some artsy pictures in front of the tree:
Christmas morning was filled with lots of excitement!
Will asked for a special and unique gift this year... a singing banana like the one on the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song on Youtube. I have no doubt that this request baffled Santa's elves and they had to get really creative with their toy-making. But just look at that face- they nailed it!!
Afterwards we set up one of Will's new toys; Marble Run. I was excited about this toy, I have lots of memories of Steven and I doing this as kids.
Y'all I wish I could say this didn't happen, but it's too funny not to share. Little Elliette hasn't met many foods she doesn't like or won't try. oranges, salad, hummus, you name it. Well big brother is the complete opposite and very often forgets to eat (that gene is not from me, I assure you!) He had left his dinner from the night before sitting out- two pizza slices. Well she found those slices and dug in. She sat very calmly eating the pizza and watching the Marble Run setup. Priceless!

The rest of the day Dave and I spent hours organizing our upstairs to make room for all of the new stuff. We cleaned closets, moved furniture, and boxed up old toys. The kids hung out and were super awesome and let us work. That part of the house feels wonderful! We had such a wonderful time watching the excitement of these two, and we even still love the Peanut Butter Jelly time song :)
