17 months

Elliette Kate has turned 17 months and each day brings new surprises. Here is what's going on lately: *Elliette loves songs from the movie Frozen. She will sing (and very clearly!) "let it goooo!" When she hears the song "Do you want to Build a Snowman" she will start clicking her tounge (for the part where Anna is watching the grandfather clock). *Elliette watches and observes. She will squat down and watch babies and others. She thinks about things before reacting with a cry or a laugh. *She will put her hands on her hips if she is sitting to watch something." *She will make a pucker/kiss sound for a fish and a "woof" sound for a dog. She can also point and say "bird." *She always calls her brother "Will-Will." *She refers to both her parents as "da-da." (yes, I'm broken-hearted) *She says "Hel-low" for "here ya go. We always think she is saying "hello" to us before we remember what that means and take whatever it is out of her hand. It's usually some teeny tiny little something she has picked off her toe or the floor. *Her favorite foods include strawberries, grapes, and "pizza pizza." There are not many foods she dislikes. She even pulls lettuce out of my salad to eat! *Elle is wearing 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. *She sleeps from 8pm until 6am *most* nights with one or two little wake ups but she is usually soothed back to sleep fairly easily. *Her most ticklish spot is to squeeze her upper thighs. *She can point to her eyes, nose, ears, hair, head, cheek, chin, teeth, tounge, neck, hand, and fingers. She pulls up her shirt to show you her belly and refers to her toes as "ticka ticka ticka" (tickle tickle). This is also what she calls shoes and socks. *When Elliette leans in for a hug she says "awwww." She has just graduated to puckered lips for kissing. I am very sad knowing I'll never get another big opened mouth sloppy baby kiss again. *She is a Momma's girl. I wish I could say in a good way. She will not let me put her down if I'm around. She cries and throws a fit iif I put her down or walk away.
