Adventures with Crayons

So I've been feeling a little guilty that I haven't been doing much art with Will lately. I've had so many people asking me what fun art adventures we've been having and I have nothing but an ashamed look as a reply. So, I went and bought a new package of crayons (is there ANYTHING better than a beautiful new pack of crayons??) and waited until the perfect moment for some creating to begin!

When the moment struck I got out the crayons and a piece of cardstock. I set Will and the supplies down, got my camera poised and waited for the magic to happen.

He picked up the crayons...

...turned...

...and started putting the crayons back in the box! How could I argue when he was clearly enjoying himself?

He was very methodical about how he picked them up and put them away. He slid them through the hole in the box top (where it hangs from a hook in the store). Once it was in the hole he would push it through with one finger.

Look at the concentration!

So I may not have a budding artist on my hands (yet...) but I think I may have a cleaner! We will just have to wait and try again another day!

HILARIOUS! I think it must be in our genes, the cleaning, because Averie also loved to pick the crayons and markers up more than color with them at first, ha! That is too cute that he was pushing them through the hole!!!!!
