Fun Weekend part 1

Dave and Will and I had such a fun weekend! On Saturday morning we met some of our best friends from MO at Roaring River State Park. We found this great little place to set up camp and there were several activities for the kids to do. First we climbed around on the playground. Miss Reese had her notebook out and was sketching all of the equipment- LOVE it!!




Will and Keira then then spotted the creek and started off throwing rocks down into it...



...but that didn't hold their attention long- they wanted IN!






After a little water fun we set up to grill and picnic. Hmm... Is it ready yet?



Maybe if I move over here it'll be ready...?



We staked out a cool place and for it being a Saturday it was not at all crowded!



The kids played golf and kickball while they waited on lunch.



Watermelon tided them over for a bit.




But the dads were working hard to grill for us :)



After a yummy lunch we went back to the creek a bit and then we headed our separate ways. It was a GREAT afternoon with lots of laughs. We reminisced about how we used to be able to sit around the grill with a cold beverage for hours. My- how time has changed us! Thanks for the fun day!!
