Date Night!

On our rare night away from the kids we usually try and hit several of our favorite places since we don't make it to each of them often enough. We'll go one place for appetizers, one for dessert, etc. last week as we were walking downtown between establishments we came across an artist who had a booth set up an she asked us if we wanted to paint the universe! Sure! What? 

She was asking people to paint a 2" x 2" canvas with their interpretation of the universe. She is going to sprinkle the art with real moon dust and then plans to pitch the project to a few local places to get funding for a larger piece. Eventually she wants to work in coordination with the Amazeum (children's science museum) which will be opening here in 2014. 

So not only dd we get a few hours of adult time we also got to do some art. What a perfect date!
