Then we hiked and found a little playset with a stream running right by it.
There was this big "waterfall" going down the dam. We relaxed in some lawn chairs and soaked up the peace, quiet, and sunshine.
We then took a hike through the woods, walked along a different lake spotting turtles, and let Will throw a bunch of rocks. Later that night we made s'mores and I got to finish a book (my most favorite quiet time). Despite the heater going out in the middle of the night it was a PERFECT get away. Will could run to his heart's content and Dave and I were able to unplug and focus on our family. The landscape was beautiful and we hope to head back again!
I climbed a tree. Yes I did. I thouroughly enjoyed it, too. It may be the last time I ever do it so I soaked it in.
