Memorial Day

We had one of the BEST Memorial Day weekends ever! We had so many fun things to do with a bunch of different friends. On Sunday day were invited to Beth and Greg and Duncan's house to swim. We attend church with this family and Will and Duncan get along great (sometimes too great- trouble is as trouble does...) However this day they were awesome. It was our first swim of the year and we had to get Elliette all "suited up." She was not a huge fan of the water. We got about 10 seconds of her in there during which I snapped these pictures and then she was done. She sat happily with me on the edge of the pool dipping her feet occasionally. Ah yes, she's my daughter indeed. That evening we went to Dennis and Jillian's house with John and Emily. Will and Owen and Brighton are still in the same class and love playing together. See an oddly similar picture from May 2012 here Mark, set, go! Avery cheered them on as well: The girls hung out on the blanket most of the time: Everyone loves a baby! We roasted hot dogs and s'mores; YUM! Monday we went on a family hike on the museum trails. The weather could not have been better. We walked... We enjoyed the art... We picniced... and Elliette SAT UP FOR THE FIRST TIME! Later that evening we went to our neighbor Scott and Lisa's house for some UH-mazingly delicious crab legs. Lisa had these giant bubble makers which were awesome. Will and I did this for a long time and we both got pretty good at it! I know it's hard to imagine but Little Mr. Burris sometimes gets in trouble... Can you believe all this fun was all in one weekend? It will be hard to top this Memorial Day!
