We set up our Christmas tree, too. If you haven’t heard our story of new ornaments I will try to recap the hilarious events of last weekend. Dave and I have had some beautiful ornaments since we were first married. We were thrown a Christmas wedding shower and we received some stunning decorations, but I was ready for a change. The colors we've always had were maroon and gold and I am just ready for something fresh and young looking. With all that is going on Dave has been heading off my craving for new stuff by reminding me we’re moving and need to be mindful of money. So, I was off work last Friday for Thanksgiving break and we borrowed a pick up truck from some friends to move some stuff from our old house to the storage unit. We had 6 boxes of Christmas stuff, 2 bikes, and Will’s bike cart. Well, the wind caught the bike cart and when it started to go it drug everything else out of the truck! Dave slammed on the brakes and we jumped out in the middle of the road to save what was left of our bikes and ornaments. Let’s just say I won the ornament color debate.
So here is our new tree in our new (old) house. I need about a zillion more decorations, but I really love the new look.
I made the bow for the top and I said I wanted a Texas-sized bow… maybe it got a teensy bit too big? I still love it!
