Weekend After the Move

I really don’t have any photos from the move to show you. Dave and Andrew (who works for Dave) loaded and unloaded the moving truck on Wednesday. Twice. I don’t know how they possibly did that much work in one day’s time and still had their eyes open that night. My father-in-law assisted them as well and I think they were even all on speaking terms that evening- ha!

My mother-in-law and friends Shannon and Melanie all were here on Thursday to help organize the kitchen and boxes. They all did super-amazing jobs and I am touched that they all jumped in to help. This picture is Will’s bookshelf. Shannon organized it and if you know my Type A friend you will smile when you see it:

                      

My parents came in Thursday night to help with the post-move fun; cleaning, Wal Mart runs, etc. We are so, so fortunate to have so many people who were willing to help with this big event.

So Dave and I were really in terrific shape this weekend to get some stuff done. We left Dubby with his grandparents to go shop for our new kitchen appliances. It was seriously so much fun to pick stuff out and start thinking about our house to come. Dave hopped right on the saleslady’s computer to download our house plans so they could talk shop with only a few words I didn’t understand.

                    

Now THAT’S a fridge, folks! This has a pretty good chance of making the final cut!

We’re feeling pretty settled and cozy in our rental. I’ll have some pictures to show you soon! Thanks again to everyone who helped make it so smooth!
