Boys on the Run

Last week I had two big playdates on the same day. This to me didn't seem like a problem since the day is so easily broken in half with a nap. Truth be told it wasn't bad at all. We had a ton of fun and I got to see some good friends, too.

Emily and Owen (and Avery) met us last week in Fayetteville to run around the Botanical Gardens. It was pretty hot out, but they had so much fun playing in the choo choo, seeing the chickens, watching the fish swim, and climbing barn ladders.

C'mon, Mom!

Will "choo-chooed" the whole way down the tunnel ('cause that's what Thomas does!)

The only little incident we ran into was when I told Will to wave to me from the bridge he was standing on.... oops.

It was mostly smiles, though. Love these two.

It was a fun but tiring morning as you can see.

That afternoon I asked Danielle if she wanted to bring the boys up to wade in the creek with us. It was the PERFECT thing for 4 little boys to do. We didn't have to do hardly any chasing since they were so engrossed in what was going on. Todd came with us so that helped, too. I only took one picture, though. This is D, Tucker, and Will looking at tadpoles. I am learning about this boy thing but picking up these particular tadpoles who were sprouting little tiny legs was beyond my comfort zone. Since Danielle has two years on me of having sons she jumped right in. My hero.

Whew! Are you tired? We sure were!
