Father's Day Crafts

Last week Mel asked if Will and I would like to join her and Brett for a little pottery painting at a local craft store. We met them on Tuesday morning and looked through all of the fun pieces waiting to be beautified and settled on the following; a coaster for Daddy and Papa, a Razorback for Poppy, and a "shog" for Will.

Before the magic:

We set to work. I would love to say Will had as much concentration as Brett did...

Look at that concentration! It makes an art teacher proud. My child concentrated for a bit- but in the end I had to help finish painting because running around was way more interesting to him. Awesome.

Kayla Grace didn't come and that's probably a good thing- check out Shannon's intensity on her mug! She said she stayed over an hour later than we did to finish!

I didn't get a picture of the Razorback before we gave it away on Father's Day, but here are the frog and coaster. They are all shiny and glassy now with little colored speckles. They are super cute and are a nice gift. All 3 dads loved their keepsakes. Thanks for the fun idea, Mel!
